Henrik P's Blog Matra Djet Vs of 1965 vintage This car is prepared as a historic racecar according to FIA App.K regulations. I bought it in januar 2008 from Erik Jensbye, and have been restoring it since. It has been a big job. The old paint has been totaly removed, down to the fiberglass, then new topcote and painted in the classic "French Electric Blue" The old Gordini engineblock was cracked, and a new one was found (not easy), so it has now been given a total makeover, new bearing and gaskets all over. The electrical system is being renewed, and due to its coming task as a racecar, it has been equiped with a fireextinguisersystem that covers fueltank, driver and engine/carburettors. It will be fitted with a carbon driversseat, because the original seat is no use a a racingseat. I would like to get my hands on some Delta alloywheels, but it will have to wait Moderator: Henrik P |
