Philbert borrowed my Duecilier headlights to get his 2.2 through MOT.  Cheesy
His are badly rusted on the reflector, so he is in the process of creating a new set of headlights with two lights on each side.
While removing mine I discovered that one of the clips holding the right light in place is missing.
Is there anyone out there who has a spare clip, perhaps from a car being scrapped? Or has anyone tried to remanufacture the clip?

Alternatively, there were a discussion of some adapter rings to convert the headlight mount to use VW Golf sealed beam lights. I may soon need to do that as my lights also showed signs of beginning to rust.
Does any of you have a set of those rings available? They will still need the clip as far as I remember. Sad

I used this to fix my headlights.
Better solution then the original.
The headlight stay in place since this modification.

used some hexbolts that I grinded in the shape that it fits.

Drilled the holes a bit.

Mounted.

They are from landrover.

Somewhere I have a cadfile for the rings to use headlights from a Golf 2.
If you want I send it.

Regards Herman

Hi Herman.
I would very mush like the cad file for the rings. Is it in AutoCad format?

Unfortunately only 2 of your photos are displayed. Most appear as a question mark icon.  Sad

I hope you can still get the sealed beam headlights for Golf2  Huh

regards. Jon

Jon,
All pics are visable.
I sended the file to your Yahoo mailadres.
It's DWG and you should download the program free DWGviewer.
Edit:
Uploaded the viewer to my drive
That didn't work, but this one did.

Immitation headlights for right side ot road is VGA3001 around 15-20 Euro a piece.
The original Hella are much better quality so find a breakyard.
