Title: Is there a piece missing here? Post by: valross on September 23, 2008, 12:09:34 am (http://www.ordsak.se/Bilder%20Matra/saknas.jpg) I am not sure, but I believe there is a picece missing across the rear above the lights. I think the gap is too wide. Does anybody know for sure? /Lasse Title: Re: Is there a piece missing here? Post by: macaroni on September 23, 2008, 01:59:37 pm Don't know about that, but shouldn't it say "Matra-Simca"?

No, the later Bagheeras were branded Talbot-Matra like the Murena. Title: Re: Is there a piece missing here? There is a black strip/seal missing on my car :( This is what it looks like: (http://www.allsportauto.com/photoautre/matra/bagheera/x/1979_bagheera_x_07_m.jpg) Credit Photo Sébastien MORLIERE Does anyone know where I can find such a strip? Title: Re: Is there a piece missing here? Post by: Anders Dinsen on September 23, 2008, 04:25:45 pm Does anyone know where I can find such a strip? It looks like an ordinary rubber strip, but I can't figure out why such a short piece would be joined in the middle, as it appears to be. I recently came across a web shop for car builders, and they seem to stock a few different types of rubbers and trims. I suggest you search their catalog: http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/trim-13-c.asp - Anders Title: Re: Is there a piece missing here? Post by: lewisman on September 23, 2008, 05:13:32 pm It is a metal strip. There is a very small possiblity that I might have one but can't promise.

Stainless steel painted ::) 2 sides are a profile that is pop riveted under the rear pannel The center section is just there for the liaison. I don't believe I've a spare but you can certainly try the usual shops Title: Re: Is there a piece missing here? Post by: valross on September 24, 2008, 10:01:54 am Thank you all! :)
Title: Re: Is there a piece missing here? Post by: andyowl on April 09, 2009, 08:51:27 pm I know this is rather late but I have just found the ideal replacement part for the black edge strip that goes across the rear of the car above the rear lights (assuming you did not find a genuine Matra spare part)
A friend was putting new tiles on my bathroom wall and he used a plastic edge strip that is the same size and shape as the Bagheera trim piece. The piece I purchased for trial purposes is made by:- Homelux, Airfield Industrial Estate, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE8 1HA Tel: 01335 347 300 (or +44 1335 347 300) www.homelux.co.uk The 9mm version is just the right size. Mine is black but I think they do Chrome and White as well. The product is called "PVC Tiletrim" and is available from any tile shop or DIY store or Bricolage. Cost is "peanuts" I shall be using it on Baggy Joe. Andy Owler Title: Re: Is there a piece missing here? Post by: valross on April 11, 2009, 11:15:49 pm Well, I bought an original kit of strips from Simon, black painted stainless steel. And they cost a lot of peanuts >:(
Thank you anyway! Lasse |
