Title: Oil leaks
Post by: krede on July 04, 2008, 04:09:42 pm
Right.. I know that the timing chain cover can be a source of some pretty decent leaking...
But what about the 3 bolts holding the upper engine stabilizer? (motor side) ...
On my engine it looks like oil is leaking out from them...

I would check the rocker cover gasket. If you still had the mechanical fuel pump, I would check the breather hole in the bottom of it.

Rocker cover looks fine... so does the "blind" where the fuel pump used to be.

And the gasket? ;)

It really can't leak any oil out of those holes unless someone has drilled all the way through. Even then, I'd find it very odd, as the bolts plug the holes.
