Krede, there is a photo of the engine bay, it's the one with dual dampers/coils either side. The engine is fitted longitudally on these cars, with a shaft passing on the right side of the engine to drive the front differential.
Lennart, my guess is that the suspension arrangement is chosen for ease maintenance. Suspension is more or less everything on a rally car, and by putting everything inboard on top, you have very easy access to making adjustments etc. My guess is that they have discareded the torsion bars.
But I was a bit surprised to see that the original front suspension arms (at least the top ones) have been kept - since the car is more or less completely custom anyway, why not extend the a-arms, which generally lowers the roll centre? The a-arms on Murena are only this short because they come from a front engined car... The rear looks like the trailing arms have been discarded and the entire rear suspension is custom.
There's a sister car to Olczyk's in the museum in Romoratin, but it's covered up so the internals aren't visible
