Title: Rear trailing arm bolts.
Post by: krede on June 18, 2015, 05:04:52 pm
The ones Thad has been supplied to me are of the 8.8 grade ...  Shouldn't they be 10.9  when we are talking suspension bolts ?

I would not rely on 8.8 strength bolts. From what I can find you should use 10.9 in suspension applications.

Just had a look in the shed.
I have several trailing-arms with bolts.
They are all 8.8 .

Came to think about it..... guess they had to make them 8.8 quality in order to allow people to better cut them when they seize ;)
