Title: Inspiration from some aspiring mechanics Post by: Jon Weywadt on February 22, 2010, 11:55:48 am Looking at repairs and modifications being made to Murenas everywhere, I thought that you might find inspiration in what owners of other models have done. :D :D :D
Title: Re: Inspiration from some aspiring mechanics Post by: Titus on February 24, 2010, 09:20:24 pm As an aspiring mechanic myself, I'm not convinced by the wooden or aluminium siding. It looks a little too American for my taste. My 1.6 boasts a near perfect hood/bonnet and the air filter pan needs no upgrade as seen. Also my lights work as intended.
However, I do like the defogger mod. It always seems that the passenger side demists first. I have a length of foil tubing and will give it a go, but will direct both outputs into one in front of my driving position. I may paint the tubing black so as not to make things too obvious. :) :) :) Title: Re: Inspiration from some aspiring mechanics Post by: suffolkpete on February 25, 2010, 06:36:58 pm Actually, I quite like the corrugated look, it's reminiscent of old Citroen vans. :)

How do you keep them from falling off when you accelerate and turn? :D :D :D On a more serious note, you should be careful that the weight does not damage the window seal or hinges. :o |
