Title: Murena 2.2 original - SOLD
Post by: njesper on January 20, 2008, 03:24:52 pm
White matra murena 2.2 from 1981 , approx. 130000 km.

Leather interior (caramel color)
Really good condition.

Work done:
Full bodywork re-painted. Replaced trailing arm, driveshafts, repaired carburettor, new brake pipes, generator, battery, wiring loom, some hoses replaced, compression checked in all four cylinders, ignition cables, spark plugs, new joints on gear system, interior being improved, new rear tires, cooler, cooling pipes etc. (I have a very long list  ;D)

Nice to have done soon:
1.Door interior under construction (new pieces of leather, etc.)
2.There is some slop between the gear rod, and the rod, that it slides inside. Thing to do, is to weld a small extension onto the base rod. This will help immensively, and it's not a big job).

Write me for more info on murena@natkat.dk

Hi Jesper

Wow! it looks good :) Just a suggestion: I think you should add an export price for people outside Denmark.

I don't know how much I can get refunded from the danish tax-system, and especially not with the new rules stepping in soon. But I will try to investigate.

For all you abbroad: 86000 dkkr is 11539 euro (at the moment  ;D)

Write me for info (murena@natkat.dk)

(http://natkat.dk/matramurena/uk.jpg) Btw. I have included both english and danish languages in the add
(http://natkat.dk/matramurena/dk.jpg) p.s. jeg har inkluderet både dansk og engelsk sprog på annoncen.

Alright Lennard,

I am willing to give a discount on the price, if sold abbroad, and if  regulations of getting back money from the danish tax system, when exporting. The discount is then 2000 euro.
This is the calculated amount, I should be able to get back, based on what I got the car registered for.

Hi Jesper,

I guess you are home from the states?

Can't believe this car is still for sale. It looks like a bargain though most people new to the Murena might not realise the money and time invested in this car!

I would estimate some of the work to cost at least:
Full bodywork re-painted (really nice result): 15,000 DKK
Replaced trailing arm: 7000 DKK
Driveshafts: 3000 DKK
Leather interior: 10,000 DKK
These alone are 35,000 DKK and things that most Murena owners would love to have done  ;)

Then you have to add the time required...

If I was looking for a Murena in Denmark, or had some money to spare I would diffenitely be interested...

Hope it will find a good home soon,
Valdemar

PS: Have you considered going to the Matra meeting in Jylland to show it of?

Hi Lars,

I wonder why I don't get any papers or mails from the club. I asked to join over a year ago, and I think I have only received one or two mails. :)
Could you check me out on the list?

Best,

Jesper Colding

Thanks Lennart,

 :)

Yes I know, it's terrible, but I think it basically comes down to the big "shopping party" is over at the moment, meaning nobody spends money right now in Dk. You can see it on the real estate market, and also on the amount of ferrari's on sale right now in Dk, just to mention a few examples.
Thus creating a big problem for people wanting to get even a decent price for their special cars.
The people who still have the money would rather buy "new new new...."  ::)

I would still say that a reasonable price for this one would have been about 90k, but the "used" market is just dead right now I think. :P

Best Jesper

Hi Kim, and welcome!

Its nice to know that lovely Murena now drives around in the area where I grew up. In fact my very first drive in a Matra happened there - a belgian couple driving a flashy orange Bag SII asked for direction to my home town, and since I had just missed the afternoon bus, they drove me the 10 miles home. That must have been 1980 or thereabout.

So when I moved to the UK (first time) in 1995, I still had the desire to get a good Bag SII and pay somebody to restore it completely ... which is when I realized that the Murena (which I had never seen) was in fact warm galvanized from factory.
That did it for me.

However, when I met up with Roy at Silverstone and saw a Murena for the first time (his silver one), it could as well have been ungalvanized - my eyes spelled SOLD! SOLD! SOLD!. (except Roy wasn't selling his, but he pointed me at someone who did, and the rest is history.  :-)   )
