hi does any one know if a u585 or a u581 fault code reader will work on a 2001 espace 2.2 dci
if not point me in the direction of one that will. i need to read faults on more than renaults though. many thanks

If you need to read faults on more than this car you need to get a high end diagnostics kit with general good coverage - and that will be expencive. In general the only kit that will work fully on your car is genuine Renault kits like the NXR or CLIP. Hard to find and/or expencive. You can get a CLIP copy (!) "everywhere" starting from approx 5-600 euros. Be aware of the early copys, latest ones is told to work fairly good.

The Maxidiag mentioned elsewhere in this forum is supposed to work on your engine, but i have never tested anything but genuine tools.

thanks for you reply. but is there not a hand held universal code reader that will work on it
