Title: Roof Box

Hi,
Does anyone know of a roof box that will fit a 1998 3.0 RXE espace with factory fitted roof bars (look like spoilers). Halfords and Thule insist that I buy foot packs and bars before I can fit a roof box.  Renault want £750 for a 750L box, seems a bit expensive.

You can use any roof box IF you purchase from Renault the special adapters available for the roof bars. In fact you can put a roof box onto the bars without the adapters, but you will spoil them since they made of rather soft aluminum.

If you need, I can find the P/N for the adapters. They are rather expensive, but with them you will have any roof box very well fitted.

I recently purchased a 2.2dt Grande espace and it came with a Karrite type top box, which I doubt I will ever have need of.
It has all the fittings to go on the roof rails, according to the man who sold it to me, but I have never fitted it, so I can't be certain.
If you are still looking for a top box let me know.
