Just like the topic, i wonder if the xu9j4 engine fits in a bagheera mk1?
have 3 matras at home, 2 from 74-75 and one from -76.
one in fullorginal cond. one in parts and one half: totaly rust (-76)
The intake is kinda big so motorbike carbs is the solution to that?
also found this on google, this must be an mi16 engine,

I think this is the same as the one in the video, engine portrudes into the luggage compartment but *very* nicely built!

Oups.
I was thinking that I had removed any content on the web, but apparently I forgot this video.
I can just hope that Lars won't mind.
On this video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5750337299080616753 (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5750337299080616753), the blue Bagheera chasing the orange bitza also contains such an engine

Oh tanks. This is very intresting, have taken a trip in my bagheera with the original engine and i think it is very inferior to be in a sportscar...
Well, it will be fun with a 16v in the bagheera.
Do anybody have some experience from a conversion like this?
