As the director of Pilkington Czech Republic is my friend, I am able to get new windshields for Murena and Bagheera. Price for bronze one is 230,-Eur and for clear one is 200,- Eur. Delivery term is cca 2 months. There is only one problem - how to delivery?

That is an excellent offer there... I need a new windscreen, actually. Your country is wonderful, so maybe I'd want to drive the Grand Espace down there to pick up one plus a few more for others in Denmark - er der nogle interesserede, der melder sig?

Excellent, I'm happy that I can help You, because I think all Matra drivers have to be friends ;)
But You have to know that it take cca 2 months from order to delivery. So please specify how much windshields and which colours You really will buy and I will make an order. I think that if there will be more than one windshield, I can squeeze the price. I don't have any profit on it, because I think that between friends there isn't space for profit ;)
And maybe You know that we have the best beer here in the Czech Rep, so You are welcome! I also can arrange the accomodation for You.

If Krede and I go to Czeckia to pick up windscreens for our Murena's, we can bring one for your Bag with us and it will end up just north of Copenhagen, so I guess it depends on where in Sweden you are?

There's room for 7 in the Espace, but since we also need space for three or four wind screens, we can probably only accommodate four people! Sounds like we can have a wonderful journey!
Michael: No problem with the delivery time, I think. But let's all give it a week or two more to see if anyone else jumps in on the deal before actually ordering...

Of course, there is no hurry for it. But You must be very carefull with them. Jurgen bought two and wanted to transport them and one of them went broken :-[

Good point, maybe we should build a wooden thing to strap them onto with lots of padding to keep them safe...

Hello friends, on saturday I had a wedding day, so it was lot of work to prepair everything. But it was wonderfull, all cars for guests were Simcas or Talbots :) - Aronde Elysée, 1501 Break, 1301 EL, Chrysler 180, Tagora 2,2 Automatique, Tagora 2,2 GLS, Tagora 2,6 SX and Matra Murena 2,2 S - last three are mine :)
I will start new topic with pictures as soon as my PC will be repaired and able to send pictures...
Windshields - no problem, if this is totall number, I will make the order and the 2 months will start. When windshields will be at Czech Republic, You can make the trip to pick up some beers... ehm - windshields :)

Good idea, but I have problem with my PC - I can't send e-mails :( I observe them, but when I want to send answer it looks like it is been sent, but it isn't... My friend who promised new PC to me, is a little unreliable, so weeks are leaving and I still am without possibility to answer.
So lets make a list of w-shields and I will try to make order without payments in advance.
Murena:
hru - 1 bronze
anders - 1 bronze???
krede - 1 colour???
Bagheera:
jacobosterlindh - 1 colour???
Matra-Hans - 1 colour???

If I may just put my "IT analyst" hat on for a second, could I suggest you use a web-based email client, such as Google mail ? It *always* works, and you can read your email wherever you are.
You can store up to 2 gigabytes in your folders, and its free (except you need an Internetconenction, but you've got that already :-) )

Another option could be using private messages here on this forum (just click the "private message" text under the persons avatar.)
Having said that, I have absolutely no problem if You guys keep posting here, it is more for your own convenience and confidentiality.

I don't know if he needs clear or bronze, will find out.

I am still working on it. Now I observed the price calculation from new director of Pilkington CR, and prices aren't as good as before - 270,-E for Murena Bronze, 250,- for Murena clear and Bagheera he isn't able to find... So I've sent him my reply with old prices and am waiting for answer. Mr.Ruby who was the director before and who is my friend, was promotioned so I hope that, if I won't be able to squeeze this new director I will ask Mr.Ruby for his help from upper position ;) to get better prices...

GREEEEAAAAAT !!!! I squeezed the prices back to old ones :) so the bronze will be for 230,- Euro and clear 205,- Euro (it was 200,- but prices went higher and 205,- really is the minimum). Bad news is that Bagheera isn't in pricelist, it means that they aren't able to delivery it :(
So I will confirm the order tomorrow, O.K.? And on the end of September it will be here in Czech rep.

It all sounds pretty nice, but I have received only very few answers from the danish Matra friends.
Actually I was thinking of withdrawing as the 'coordinator' since I seem to write out in the blue air.
So my question is now - the people interested - are you willing to make a deposit before ordering ?
I am not using my name to order and then people are not interested anyway.

Could you ask pilkington for the transport also ?
2 winshields for Bagheera
5 for Murena.
They should be able to transport on a pallet in a suitable case.
- eventual ensurance.

The reason is that if Anders has to drive in his Espace it will increase the cost with up to 100 EUR extra pr shield. :-[

1) Hm... Mr.Adamcik is on holiday till 3.9.07 than I can ask, but I really don't think that package + postage + insurance will be much cheaper, and of course - you will must to pay everything in advance. I think that this is not the way it can works...
2) as I wrote before - Bagheera isn't at the pricelist = they aren't able to delivery it
3) if you or somebody else won't find the way how to organize it, I will cancel the operation, but how does it will looks like, when I negotiated with Pilkington about conditions, prices, terms, etc. and now I will cancel everything?
We are on 6 windshields (5 bronze + 1 clear) - Kalunborg to Prague and back is cca 1600km, when we will count 10 l/100km it means 160 litres x 1,2 Eur/l it is 192 Euro, it is 32 Euro for each one windshield... But it's on you. I don't earn money on it, not even 1 Euro for me, so if you don't want - no problem.

I think for all partyes it will be non-profit - also you and me.
Anders made a travel budget, including ferry, mileage and hotel. This showed the ~100 EUR pr winshield - so this is why I am asking if there are other options.
(Package from pilkington etc)
Paying in advance is okay for me, but I need the 'Murena compadres' to confirm also.
- I don't want to put all my savings in 6 winshields, neither do you ;)

That will be very good. It will be a pity to miss this opportunity, and if it makes a difference I'd be willing to buy an extra wind screen if we can store them somewhere: Who knows when someone will be needing one, and I'm sure we can organise something in our club.

Even from Sudan I can get online with my Danish bank and make a transfer.
(the alternative would be to e-mail my wife and ask her to do the transfer, but she do not realy see the purpose of ordering car spareparts just in order to put them in the store)

I don't know why he contacted me, but he is a long time MCD member. Sure, I can take deposits and arrange payment to the supplier, but I suggest we wait until next week - after the summer meeting in the club. Henrik, I suppose we shouldnt' to see you there as you are abroad?

I plan to go to MOT october month with the Murena, and after this I will split the car and prepare for painting. As part of this I need the new winshield.
