It's nice to see a French Formula One team making such a good start in the World Championship.

My F1 history is terrible, were Matra the last French team to win a World championship or have Renault been very successful in the past?

Nigel Mansell and the Williams Renault team were all conquering in 91 and 92. Although Frank was based out of Woking at the time!!! But the engine was French.

Matra became Ligier and then Prost Racing and that went to the wall so fast it should have won the Team Championship...
