I live in Texas USA. I have a 1974 Matra Bagheera S1. It is highly modified bodywise and the engine and trans are stock. I'm joining to look for some bits for my Bagheera.
Good to meet you all.

Hi Doc, welcome to the forum! A Bagheera in Texas sounds like an interesting combination :) I hope you will find what you need from the parts suppliers we have over here in Europe: http://www.matrasport.dk/pointers.html#spares (http://www.matrasport.dk/pointers.html#spares)

Hello Doc and welcome aboard.
I will join the others in a request for pictures, as as far as I remember the only American Begheera to feature my galleries on matrasport.info (or .dk) are these: http://www.matrasport.dk/Cars/Bagheera/Gallery1/Med/75Matra.html

Hi guys, my car is the blue one behind the black one in that photo. It's yellow now, with a burgundy top. I don't have any photos on this server, but I'll try to get some up in a few days. Here's a shopping list of bits I need, if anyone is parting a Baggy out.
Right side inner door release handle.
Engine cover latch handle
Oil fill cap
Window crank(big round one)
Front wheel bearing and races
That's it. My car drives every few weeks, but I try not to put too many Km on it. Living in Texas, we have a lot of trucks and I get many unusual looks, expecially when I have both kids in the front with me.
I got pulled over one day, and the cop asked about the child riding in the middle. I showed him the seat belt, and the seat arrangement, and he kinda looked like I was from outer space. He thought it was a kit car, but I showed him the registration, and that was it, he let us go.
Good to meet some Matra folk.

Hi,
For the front wheel bearing and the head gasket you can get new parts.
For the other parts it will be more difficult, but maybe on of the suppliers will have some second hand parts.
I will suggest tat you contact either Simon in Germany, Will of Matra Magic in the UK or Ruud at Car joy in the Netherlands. They will all be willing to post the parts to you and there will be no problems doing correspondence with all of them in English.
On Simon's home page www.simon-auto.de/ you can down load spare part catalogue (however with Simon part numbers only)
Regards Hans

We have a dedicated section related to spares : http://www.bagheera-cafe.com/viewforum.php?f=4 (http://www.bagheera-cafe.com/viewforum.php?f=4) µ
However, we recently decided to only allow access to registered user. This after experiencing too many cases where a wanted part sudenly appear on ebay after somebody express a need. Of course the ebay price was ridiculously high.µµ
And of course some individuals that we had to forbide access.
Also, we have a gentleman agreement for second hands parts. µ
µ
There is also an initiative called the "Bagheerathon" where the ones who will contribute. This allow us to study and remake some extinct parts. There is an hidden section reserved to the contributors.µ
This allowed us to re$make several parts like :µ
Sills
Floors µ
Driver side A post µ
Several rubbers µ
The whells center parts (not chromed )µ
...µ
The last part currently under study is the drivers seat foams. (not easy)

Bagheera-cafe looks like a pretty neat site for us Bagheera-philes. Unfortunately, I haven't used any French since freshman year in high school. And that was so long ago, even Bagheera's were not even made yet! I know, I feel like the 'ugly American' but we just don't run across much French here in the colonies. Now, if I was in central Canada, that would be different.
