Hi all,
I have a -02 Grand Espace Expression 2.0 16V T A. Does anyone know, what equipment Expression -level should include?
For some reason, my car doesn't seem to have drive computer enabled. I have all the other "goods" including climate control, cruise, etc., but no computer. Is this optional equipment or should it come as standard.
Thnks,
-T

If you can't operate the computer how do you reset the trip odometer?
(Tip of wiper stalk does computer and trip where enabled)

I'm sure the computer is there, but factory disabled.
Does your car have the built-in radio and CD?

Don't say that to a computer nerd... "got to find out how to enable it, got to find out how to enable it, got to....." ;)
Checking the diagram of my 1997 JE shows no indication of an option, so it's probably configured in the display unit.

Yes, I have the Auditorium (or Grand, don't know for sure), but it's made by Pioneer. There is also the computer button at the end of the wiper controller "stick" or whatever that is :P
But it only clears the trip meter. I guess I just have to take the car to the dealer and start arguing about the missing computer ;) . Or does anyone know how to enable that... ;D

Have you checked the fuses?

Nope. Is there a dedicated fuse for the computer?
I'll have to check it right away...

Ok, checked all fuses and disassembled the display unit to check faulty connectors. No luck. The button at the end of the right lever switch just resets the trip meter, nothing more.
I guess the only option is to take the car to the service to see whether the computer is somehow disabled.
