No, the manual is back on the shelf again ;)

Okay... here goes:

Inlet: 0.2 mm
Exhaust: 0.3 mm

Cold engine.

remember to "pre torque"  all the bolts 5nm, before you go on to fasten them 90 nm.

Also there is a specific sequence you need to torque up the bolts in.

I just wanted to check them. I did it from the middle, working outwards. They were all tight enough.
I'm going to check the valve clearances next, once it stops raining!

All the engine torque settings are available from my website if you just asked me.  There is a double A4 page taken from the workshop manual.  Valve clearances are in the Murena handbook.

I looked, but couldn't find them on there and still can't.

Can you point me at them please?

No you won't.  I said 'if you ask'.  If anyone emails me I can send them a link.

Weather over here is beautiful :P
Did you get a chance to identify your cam then?

Only just stopped raining now!
My car is garaged, but I want it dry so I can roll it in and out in 4th gear to rotate the valvetrain.

I looked at my cam, but couldn't identify it. I'll photo it tomorrow, in the light, and post it up.

Inlet: 0.2 mm
Exhaust: 0.3 mm

Cold engine.

However, that is for the standard cam, Anders.

The Holbay cam has slightly different settings.

The inlets should be: 0.25 mm (10 thou)
Exhausts as original: 0.30 mm (12 thou)

Thanks for that, Roy!! I'll make a note in my manual about that :)
Is there a different setting for the S-cam too?
What's the cause of the difference on the inlet side?

I looked at the cam, but the Holbay engravings are on the ends, so I couldn't see them.
Along the shaft was engraved an "H", an "A", a "4" and the letters "FMA". No idea what they mean though.

Here are some blurry pictures...

And an attempt at photographing a cam lobe...

I can't make it out either. The Holbay lobes are much "flatter" on the top than the standard, but looking at your photos, I can't decide whether it looks more like one or the other ???

The only marking I can find in the standard cam I have here is "SF2".

The Tagora engine manual identifies the cam by two rings between lobes 4 and 5. I.e. nothing about markings. Depending on what "raw material" Holbay uses, it doesn't have to say anything.

If you compare with my photo here: http://gallery.dinsen.net/v/biler/Murena/technical/engine/DSCF0005.JPG.html
It does actually bear the "FMA" marking.

If it is a Holbay, it doesn't look like it needs a regrind at all.
