Title: a cheap solution for a new 2.2 Murena altenator.
Post by: Oetker on July 21, 2008, 08:17:23 am
Sometimes I am a cheapskate, and don't want to spend the money on new parts.
My altenator was at the end and I found a good solution for the original.
Get one out this cars.
Peu 205 89-98
Peu 309 89-93
Peu 405 88-92

Also in some Citroen AX en BX 1.4
Or like I did find a just revised one for €20.-

This will not fit at the mounting, but then you can do this.

Swap the fronts and the pulley's.
It a perfect fit and then it looks like this and you can mount it straight away.
The new altenator only has B+ B- and D+ connection.
Cut of the old connector in the car that connected the altenator.
The wire that did go to L has to be connected to D+, and this works great.

The charging-lamp wil work the same as the old one.
