Title: ECU connections Post by: Sangoma on January 28, 2006, 04:29:28 pm I am looking for connections and any other data for the Siemens/Bendix ECU on a early 1992 Espace 2.0l petrol.
For instance the Haynes manual (not much goo, but it is all I have) doesn't show the O2 sensor in the wiring diagram (there are a few pins without connections shown, but maybe it doesn't use the O2 sensor?). Any other info would be welcome.. So much frustration, so may questions, and so little info available!! You will notice that on vehicles without the O2 sensor, there is a potentiometer between that and 17 (which is a 5V regulated power supply for the manifold vacuum sensor) - this is used to manually adjust mixture. The other pins are 1+2: Ground 4: 12V permanent 6: Power supply to ECU from relay 7: Power to main relay 8: Switch to charge circuit 9: Ground connection to ignition module 10: ECU ground 11: + rev sensor 13: Knock sensor 14: Air temperature sensor 15: Water temperature sensor 16: 5V regulated to manifold vacuum sensor 17: Ground 18: Info connection to diag-connector 19: Return from main relay 20+21: Control power to injectors 23: Control to idle valve 24: Control to idle valve 25: Idle switch 27: Ignition 28: - rev sensor 29: Starter signal 31: + knock sensor 32: Ground for temperature sensors 33: Info signal from manifold vacuum sensor 35: O2 sensor Hope this helps :) Title: Re:ECU connections Post by: Sangoma on January 29, 2006, 07:33:32 pm Thanks dinsen, that helps a lot.
I does now seem to tie up with the manual. The only one I could see similar but with the oxygen sensor was the "R" type system which has a throttle pot, but mine doesn't. I have half an idea mine had the oxygen sensor added, that is if the mixture pot was inside the first cover of the ECU, because if I remember correctly, there was something like that and a relay not connected to anything, then there was two more relays in the inner box with the ECU. You've made a lot of things fall into place, thanks. |
