Title: Reversing light switch in DP0 Post by: Tontsa on February 15, 2006, 01:29:47 pm Hi,
does anyone know, how the reversing light is switched on in DP0 automatic transmission? Is there a mechanic switch somewhere or is it controlled through the CAN -bus? I have a parking-assistant installation project ongoing with my Espace and I'm trying to figure out, what is the best way to get the activation signal to the p-a box. One and the last choice is to use relay to get the activation from the reversing light, but this requires getting +12V all the way from the battery to the back of the car. -T Title: Re:Reversing light switch in DP0 Post by: Anders Dinsen on February 15, 2006, 10:02:26 pm I have a copy of the diagram which I have checked... it shows that the gearbox management computer has a relay that turns on the reversing lights.
If you want to take the signal from the control computer in the passenger compartment, then it's pin 1 on the yellow connector on the underside of the computer (wire is 'marron', think thats brown in french). Otherwise you can take it from the lights. That's what I did when I installed a parking assist thing. See info here (sorry only in Danish): http://dinsen.net/espace/teknik/je/parksensor (http://dinsen.net/espace/teknik/je/parksensor) The kit I used is powered from the reversing lights connection. - Anders |
