Title: Diesel heater is not working on 2.2DCI JE Year 2000 Post by: Sommerby on January 01, 2010, 12:15:21 pm HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU :)
My Standard Diesel Heater is not working. Normally when it's below 0 degrees, I can hear the air fan for the diesel heater is starting, but this winterseason it has not been working at all. I havent got a clue on where to start for correcting this error? Anybody have a troubleshooting procedure for this? Or any kind of experience on how to work on the heater unit? Is it easy to disconnect and to clean / overhaul? The last couple of seasons where it was working it were sometimes smoking badly. Best Regards Bo Title: Re: Diesel heater is not working on 2.2DCI JE Year 2000 Post by: Anders Dinsen on January 01, 2010, 01:57:12 pm Happy new year, Bo!
I can direct you regarding the electrics, but it sounds like you are looking for other faults. But let me know if you need info from the diagram. /Anders Title: Re: Diesel heater is not working on 2.2DCI JE Year 2000 Post by: Sommerby on January 01, 2010, 02:13:12 pm Happy new year, Bo! Yes please. The diagram could be a starting point :-) Title: Re: Diesel heater is not working on 2.2DCI JE Year 2000 Post by: renaultbiler on January 01, 2010, 05:13:27 pm The independant heater on G9T should always run when engine temp is 75*c or less. It is controlled On/Off by the diesel injection computer.
Attached is a couple of documents on this particular heater. Sounds like it could use a service (exessive smoke) Title: Re: Diesel heater is not working on 2.2DCI JE Year 2000 Post by: Sommerby on January 02, 2010, 12:03:30 pm Hi Tom
Many thanks for the docs. This is just what I needed :-) Best Regards Bo Title: Re: Diesel heater is not working on 2.2DCI JE Year 2000 Post by: Anders Dinsen on January 02, 2010, 09:05:53 pm And it seems there's even the electrical details there from Tom! Good luck fixing the heater! With the temperature forecasts we're having now, it seems to be well needed :)
