Title: Grand Espace V6 2000 full leather interior (Denmark)
Post by: Anders Dinsen on May 05, 2010, 07:26:08 am
I had a message yesterday from the current owner of this car. He's offering it for sale now as he's got a new company car. Too bad for him, since it looks and from the description is a very well kept car. He's used same mechanic as I have - so I'm pretty sure things are in order.

Isn't this a mistake - 140.000 DKr? Does it means, that the car costs cca 18000,-Eur?  :o

You have to remember that this is a Danish registered car. In Denmark when a car is imported you first add appx. 12% import duty to the factory price, then you add 180% (that is right, one-hundred-eighty) registration tax to the combined cost above. After you now arrive at a rediculous high price the car is sold, at which time you have to add 25% sales tax on all the combined costs and taxes above. Result, we pay for 3 cars every time we buy one. >:( :( :'( :'(

Indeed, and if it's exported, the registration tax calculated from the estimated value (-15%) can be returned, so to you Michal, it would be cheaper.

So it really is 18t Eur? I checked our tipcars.cz and there are lots of Espaces and for ex. 2001 3,0 V6 for 3600,-E or 2002 3,0 V6 24V for 4200,-E, etc. For 140.000,- DKr you can have 2008 Espace 2,0 DCi Dynamique with 33000km only.
Maybe better to buy it here and drive in DK with Czech registration...?
I understand that czech car producer Skoda give money to politics pockets to make laws against importing, to be selling more new Skoda cars, but in Denmark? Why you have to pay so much?
