Title: Tow bar electrics

Hi all
I have just purchased a Towbar for my 02 2.2dci espace and i want to connect up the electrics myself (me being an electrician) is there any wiring diagrams that i can get my hands on.

Hi Savo

When I did this some years ago on the 97 JE I had then, I took the signals from one of the rear lamps. I didn't have a diagram then. I have now, though, so if you write me an e-mail, I can scan the necessary pages for you.

There is a special towbar electrics kit available, it connects to a connector in the engine room and has a relay fitted. But it is probably quite expensive, and as long as you don't expect to power a heavy load from the towbar electrics, I would not expect problems connecting the electrics direclty to the rear wirering. The only thing is that they wiring to the rear lights is quite thin.

I have been a lazy b...... but here they are at last, the scans - R276 is the connector in the fuse box where the official kit takes the signals:
