Title: murena radiator? Post by: Joe Webb on August 08, 2014, 01:23:08 pm Hello, just found out theres an 8-12 week wait for a new radiator :o
just wondered if any of you guys knew how I might get hold of one sooner, preferably within about a month? price appears to be 288 plus shipping so if anyone knows of a cheaper way then suggestions will be greatly appreciated Cheers Joe Title: Re: murena radiator? Post by: Jon Weywadt on August 08, 2014, 03:52:55 pm Hello, just found out theres an 8-12 week wait for a new radiator :o I have had no luck getting a new radiator. But on advice from others on the forum what you will have better luck with, is taking the old one to a radiator shop an have a new core fitted. You can probably get a more modern and efficient core.just wondered if any of you guys knew how I might get hold of one sooner, preferably within about a month? price appears to be 288 plus shipping so if anyone knows of a cheaper way then suggestions will be greatly appreciated Cheers Joe Have not done it myself yet, but it will happen before I start up with the newly repaired head. Will also switch to water less coolant. Title: Re: murena radiator? Post by: Joe Webb on August 08, 2014, 05:32:24 pm yeah tried that, but the guy said he had no joy :-\
as long as i can get one in about 3 months then i suppose thats the main thing, let me know if you manage to get it re-cored cheers :) Title: Re: murena radiator? Post by: Joe Webb on August 08, 2014, 10:08:35 pm Might try again at getting it recored, can anybody recommend anyone near the south?

Reason for asking is that I thought that it had to be a non-diesel/ non-gti visa/C15 radiator to fit the murena. Title: Re: murena radiator? Post by: variator on August 09, 2014, 09:45:04 am Does it matter if it's radiator for diesel or petrol only it has the right dimensions and connections?
I saw this radiator on ebay and contacted the seller to get the dimensions. Anyone know if the dimensions match the dimensions of the Murena radiator? Title: Re: murena radiator? Post by: lewisman on August 09, 2014, 10:28:47 am It would matter if they were not the same and therefore didn't fit. Have a look at this post:

Post by: suffolkpete on August 09, 2014, 12:29:42 pm If your radiator is the original type with the metal, rather than plastic tanks on the ends, then it is far easier to get it recored. Any competent radiator specialist will be able to do it for you in a few days. I had mine done a couple of years ago by my local specialist, Sheldrake & Wells of Ipswich, it cost £150 + VAT and they made an excellent job of it. The all-metal radiators are valuable, so don't discard yours.

I think it will be winging it's way to Ipswich shortly and going straight back in my car. Cheers, Graham Title: Re: murena radiator?
