Title: Murena 1.9 for sale

There is a new listing on Car and Classics of a white Murena 1.6 which has a Peugeot 1.9 16-valve engine in it for sale in the Essex area. This car is the red one (HTN939W) that was up for sale about a year ago. The present owner bought it and started the restoration it required, but the garage where it was having the work done was apparently Ram-Raided and lot of things stolen including tools and equipment, but also they damaged some of the cars on entry and this Murena particularly appears to have been vandalised. The owner tells me that unfortunately the garage was carrying insufficient insurance cover to repair the Murena. He has lost interest and hence the car is up for sale. With the repaint and interior re-trim already done he says he stands to loose quite a lot and may have to split it anyway. He asked if I could pass the information on.
