Title: Murena Heater Valve and stopping hot air Post by: TimS on May 23, 2017, 10:31:51 pm Has anyone taken apart or replaced the heater control valve in the front bay?
Although fully disconnected from the cables and closed, mine is still allowing hot air to come out of the vents. Are there any serviceable parts inside? Has anyone managed to get completely cool air through? No heat at all after that. 😊 Title: Re: Murena Heater Valve and stopping hot air Post by: TimS on May 26, 2017, 04:02:15 pm I was thinking of doing that as a temporary fix for the summer.
Did you clamp the hose going in to the heater valve? No problems? Sorry about the delay in answering. But, yes I clamped the hose going into the valve. When I removed it in the fall it returned to original shape ok. So no problems. Of course the hose was relatively new.Did you clamp the hose going in to the heater valve? No problems? Why not fit a manual tap for now like this - no risk of hose damage https://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/15mm-58-heater-valve and at least you can turn the heat on if we have a Summer cold snap!
