The sensational Matra MS670 that won the 1972 Le Mans 24 Hour race has been controversially sold for a staggering 5,000,000 in Paris on 5 February 2021....

What a strange story. I'm courious about that court case. Shutting down the factory was inevitable with the way Renault played its cards with Matra. Also, why is a wealthy mother company choosing to sell a restored gem instead of taking the money from its funds?

Its sad that they chose to sell that one.

There were several cars exhibited at the museum in Romoratin last time I was there in 2016, e.g. this 1974 MS 680 B: https://flic.kr/p/JnT5Av I can't find a picture of the now sold 670 though.
