Title: Towing weight Espace mk2
Post by: RobB on February 03, 2007, 11:09:00 am
Hi , first thanks to the person who started this forum and those participating , have reads lots of interesting stuff.
I have a 94 mk2 espace, a lovely and useful car imo. My wife and daughter are horse mad and wish to get a bigger trailer. I cant work out what is the maximum trailer weight  legal and safe to tow. I have read some people saying that it is 85% of the vehicle weight , but is that 85% of the kerb weight or the gross weight and I have also read that it the total train weight that isimportant ie towing weight is train weight - vehicle weight , but is it train weight - kerb or gross vehicle weight?
Does anyone know, thanks Rob

I know I've seen it somewhere, but what's the max load of a 2001 Grand Espace..? I've got two motorbikes to worry about..  8)
Just if you happen to know..?!
