Title: Rear "parcel shelf"
Post by: lewisman on June 07, 2007, 08:43:23 pm
Okay, so it is not really a parcel shelf, its a luggage compartment cover but are they all made of plywood?

I assumed that the one on my car was a home made one so I sourced a second hand one and it is exactly the same!  Not so much Halfords as B&Q :o

Yes, they are all made of plywood! Why use something expensive when you can use something cheap? ;)

I was thinking of adding a small interior light on to the parel shelf, wiring it through the lights. Anyone else done it if so where did they get there donor light from?

B&Q sell spotlights - you could stick it on with liquid nails!

I bought some cheap "torpedo lights" somewhere, but I haven't fitted them yet. The idea is very good though.
