Is that really a kit ? - apart from the rather ridiculously fat wheels, it looks very much like a Djet. Do you have more photos/info ?
Of course, such a beast will never be a match for the original, with its quite advanced suspension layout, disk brakes and highly tuned engine.
However, it is VERY interesting that there apparently is enough knowledge/market for such a kit.
I wonder if that could help the Djet owners searching for spareparts ?

I could be afraid that the situation is the opposite of what Lennart is hoping. It could be that some one has taken an original Djet and mounted the car body on a WV beetle platform.
I have last year seen a vehicle for sale on German e-bay where an original Bagheera car body had been mounted on a WV beetle platform. Do not ask my why but people get crazy ideas.

My understanding of the Dutch language is very limited you can have a go your self.

Staat van onderhoud
Replica is gebouwd op de basis van een 1600 VW buggy. Er is geen APK.
Auto is geen project maar in redelijke staat echter door 3 jaar stil stand moeten hij gecontroleerd worden op remmen, motor etc.
Is 17 jaar van een oud baas je geweest en daarna heeft hij stil gestaan. Van de 10 replica's schijnen er nog 3 in Nederland over te zijn.

Well.. people have been putting Porsche speedster bodies on vw platforms for ages... so... if the frame and mechanical parts are beyond repair, why not do the same with a Djert body?... after all... I find it much better looking then a speedster..
