Post by: Oskar on December 24, 2007, 10:46:04 pm
I wounder if anyone knows directly wich cable that feeds +12v when you turn the egnition on (2nd)
same as feeds the enginemanagement with 12v.
I think it should be just 1 cable?

its a 1.6 -83 :)

Hi Oskar, Welcome to the forum. Ignition to the engine bay is one of the pins in the green connector in the engine room. It is the one going to the ignition module, + on the coil and a few other places. It runs in the loom that runs under the car.

I think your poll needs some editing... ;)

great! the question is becaus of enginechange and the loom.
citroens loom to the gti/mi16 (xu9jaz/xu9j4) only needs the +12v feed to work. conversion is pretty easy. ::)
I assume the revcounter is at the coil as well

Yes, the revcounter is at the coil.
And yes, you should be able to reuse much of the wiring, but if I think it makes sense to replace the green connector with a water proof type, or at least replace all the tabs and sockets inside (provided the shells are still good).

In this diagram, the connector is MC2 (right side of the image).
