Hey Karstern!! welcome, and congratulations with your new car!!.
For the carb issues , get in touch with Mr.Diensen... he lives in Copenhagen,is extremely friendly, and have messed quite a bit with his carburettor... add to this, that he is something of a geek, so if he cannot do the "physical" part of the operation, he can surely explain to you how it SHOULD be done :P...

Welcome, Karsten.
Congratulations on the car!!
The "electrical device" and vacuum hose you mention is the hot air inlet swtich over mechanism which I have messed with as discussed here: http://www.matrasport.dk/forum/index.php?topic=604.0
Feel free to call me if you think I can help sort out the hoses - ome phone is 44491881
The geek thing is - i'm afraid - correct!

Looks like a nice garage you have there for your car :)

What carb is it, by the way? Do you know why the original was replaced?

The Solex'es may be a little difficult to get spares for (gaskets are easy enough), so some have replaced the Solex with a similar Weber - and generally with good results. If it runs okay, I don't think you should replace it, and even if it does'nt, we can check the jets and venturis to see if they are the right size and it may just need a good cleaning and a set of new gaskets.

it is some german dobble carburator....not a weber.......i have already changet to the original solex .but i thougt i could just put on the carb on existing manifold..but no .even if the manifold were similar ,with same numbers on it,the pins were about 5 mm out of messure..so i had to change the manifold as wel..done . it runs much  smother now.
here is a pick of the strange manifold. the bolts are ofset by 5 mm.....

Good to hear it's running better now! Your manifold looks absolutely standard, but it could have been modified to accomodate the replacement carburettor? I have a spare manifold here in my basement if you want to compare.

I'm really looking forward to see your car running! :) It's wonderful to hear about restorations like what you have done!

Teknob: if You will be interested, I can give You two orig. 2,2 carburetors. They left in my garage after I sold my silver 2,2 but they are demounted. So if You want, let me know and I can post them to You.
