Front suspension bridge - tightening torque 4 of M10x1.25
October 30, 2009, 06:59:20 PM
Hi,

Have removed the front suspension bridge on my Murena.

Can't find the tightening torque figures in my workshop manual!
Anyone that can help with the value?

Kind regards,
Valdemar

Hi Valdemar,

Maybe the torque value you require is here on the attachments?

Haynes Manual No. 337 Talbot / Chrysler Alpine & Solara (ISBN 0 85696 651 7)

Best regards,

Graham

Not sure what you mean by the "bridge", but if you mean "traverse inferieure sur caisse" it's 4.75 daNm.

Dear suffolkpete, the bolts that have to be tightened are these:

And if anybody have spares of these "nuts" (with metal casings - look at the picture beneath), for putting inside the chassis frame, lying around, please reply to this thread  ;D

Best,
Jesper

I think those are the ones. "traverse inferieure sur caisse", if my French is correct (and it may not be ) means lower crossmember on the chassis and the figure I quoted in my previous post was taken from my French manual  The Alpine manual Graham refers to gives 11 kgf m, although the design doesn't look quite the same as the Murena.
