Perhaps not the right thread but since we have already been on the subject spark plugs i did them on my Espace 3.0 today - and changed them all fine without lowering the engine.

I've posted some pictures on my forum: http://www.renaultbiler.no/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2736

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all the input I recieved, I'm so glad for all the help I got!
I can inform everyone that I solved the problem finally, I bought a Grand Espace 2,0 16v -00 with stick shift, then I won't have to worry about reparing the gear box in the same way, also, this 2,0 engine is suposed to be very low on gas, even lower then the 2,2 i -95 I have, even though it's bigger. So, I'm very, very happy with my new car, love it... it's one problem though, and I started a new topic about it.
It's the electrical instrument problem, the instrument is dead.... the light works, but not the instrument. Pleace, if anyone have any idea pleace respond to my new topic, I would realy appreciate that.

Sincearly,

GREAT INFO  :D !!!. I had the plugs changed in my V6 24V Espace on last big engine job, but it is great to know you can do it without lowering the engine. Brilliant!!!

Now a question... you mention the clip... is it a kind of ODB diagnostic tool?. If so, I am very interested on it. Please, let me know. Thanks!

The CLIP is the original dealer diagnostic tool - expencive piece, but dealers around here are both expencive and "useless" so i got hold of my own complete CLIP Technic pack on trolley + one CLIP to carry around :)

OK, thanks for the info. I think I should go a similar way... my dealer lifted me 5000 Euro on last repair and, well, it was not a great work  :-[

I am Telecommunication Engineer but enjoy a lot mechanics and have done some work in my Citroen XM, ZX and some other cars and also on motorcycles, as my Yamaha FJ1200 or, before, on my Yamaha RD-350. So far, the Espace has been managed by others but I plan to get as much info as I can and do some works by myself.
