Looks like it is the BII computer playing up.i used a hair dryer this morning around the BII computer and the faulty electrics went away.it only took a minute or two with the dryer just enough to take the damp away from the BII computer. its hard to believe this little black box can cause so many problems.

Got fed up of using the hair dryer on my BII unit. so i sent it away to BBA reman, they repaired it and sent it back for £128, a bargain really compared to Renault replacing it. now all my dodgy electrics have gone, which is excellent.no more using the hair dryer every morning to warm the cabin up.
