Frontshockers

I Changed my frontshocker for a pair Monroe shockers for a Simca 1100 front.






It makes the front feeling a bit softer
Disadvantage is that there is no bumprubber in the shocks, and you can't replace them.

For my feeling it drives ok and make the car a bit more comfy, but some will prefere the harder front.

There is an important diference - Simca 1100 (and all simillar Simca and Talbot cars) has rubber bump stop on lower arm, but Murena doesn't have this one, so rubber bump stop is in shock absorber. It means, that when you use shockers from Simca, you have no bump stopers. Some absorbers have demountable upper plastic hat and you can put some bump pieces under it, but these metal hats on Monroe aren't demountable AFAK, so you are driving without them

Yep, I have to find a solution, however I couldn't fault the car on a bumpy ride to hit te metal in the absorber.
The Bagheera has the rubber at the triangle, so don't need the bumpstops in the absorber.

This shocks are sold  at Car-joy for Murena and bagheera, around €60.- a piece as a direct replacement.
