Murena Models

Just thought I'd share the good news that Murena models seem to finally be available at reasonable prices - e.g. search www.ebay.fr for "Matra Murena". Apparantly it's only available in gold, which still justifies the existence of the resin models that can be finished and painted identically to your own Murena. Carjoy among others sells these.

Here is a german supplyer.
http://www.franko-modelle.de/modelle_shop/product_info.php?cPath=93_110&products_id=6147&osCsid=6dd5874dfa99f0d4ff03d9c5dc20fc36

price is 21 euro which seems fair to me, but they ask 13 euro for shipping and an aditonal 2 euro for paypal :-\

On ebay.fr: please don't bid on the one ofwhich the highest bidder is murenarx7 ;)

[Yes, it would be fun to have an 1:8 RC Murena ;)

My good friend Peter Ratcliffe started the site www.amazing43.com (modelersite.com) and with one of his friends, they have many many 1:43 models. Peter produced the prototype models, and had them mass-produced, so I keep pestering him for not including any Matra's - he could even take the measurements and detail-photos of my car :).

In 2006 he however retired from the business, and as far as I know he is now living in Bretagne, while his friend Mario Covalski continues the sites.

They are mainly focused on 1:43, but have no Matra's in that scale. However, in their "archive" there are several Matra F1 and Le Mans cars in 1:12

And now we're at it, they also point at this:

Just received from ebay.fr

This is a wonderfull detailed piece of art! This one is much much nicer than the one from paradcar. The details are superb. There are even pockets in the door lining! There are even knobs on the rear window for the locks and the gas-lift attachment.  It is a 20 euro very well spend. (yes i am exited by this little "toy")
