brrrrr noise on start up.1992 2.2 Petrol

Hi,

I wonder if you can help. Every time when I first start the car it makes a brrr/wirrrr
type of noise. The noise stops as the engine settles down to the idle speed- about a second after it fires. The car has done this since I bought it 4 years ago. It has never got any worse.No other problems. My brother may be buying the car and I'd like to get it fixed for him.

The noise seems to come from the inlet manifold at the throttle area.

hi, it could even be a niosy injector i not sure is they have a stepper motor of some sort on the inlet manifold maybe one of the other guys can give you some pointers,
you could take it to a local garagwe and pretend to want a quote for the work that way you might get some info i have done this many times.
poeple ring me all the time wanting advise on there washing machine etc as i own a washing machine repair company. give it a try it may point you in the right direction!
