Hello, as you all know how it happend with the organisation about windshields, I've found another way for you. I spoke to gen.manager of Pilkington here in CZ and he told me, that this item must be available in all countries of EU. So you can contact the Pilkington in your country http://www.pilkington.com/ and require it. The item numbers are:
9219ABZ for Bronze
9219ACL for Clear

If they'll have a problems with it, please let me know in which country they are not able to delivery it and I'll try to help you, because there is some possibility to move with it  Wink

Hi all...

The problem is more the price I was quoted by Pilkington Denmark a few years ago.
A windscreen was 760€ excl. VAT  Shocked
Delivery was going to be 4-8 weeks as well!

I bought one from a company called UROGLAS, can't remember the price but it was MUCH cheaper  Wink

When I recieved it, uroglas had just forwarded from a company called RIOGLASS (location: 26509 LA RIOJA).
Maybe this could be of help to someone...
Also the windscreen I recieved was packed in Pilkington wrap, so I guess Pilkington Int. uses a big margin on special made products.

Apart from that I picked up my company car after having a new windscreen fitted this afternoon.
As I had seen this post earlier today, I asked for a quote.
They could offer a new windscreen, fitted at 1000€ but excl. VAT.
It looked to be the absolute most expensive on the few pages I saw at the dealers retail price list...
And this company was the least expensive out of 5 I called to get a quote for my company car (Toyota Picnic windscreen fitted at 385€ excl. VAT).

760,- E Huh  Shocked Shocked Shocked that's not expensive, that's a theft!  Angry Because also in CZ they make the same = they ask for remake the "mother" company (in GB I think) and the price here is now 220,-Eur + DPH = 262,- Eur total (bronze or clear is the same) and it is because the CZK is now stronger to EUR than before. Now it is 25,-CZK for 1,- EUR, one year ago it was 30:1 so the price was cca 184,- + DPH = 218,- Eur total. My friend told me, that he knows some managers from scandinavian countries, I will call him yesterday, if he can manage better price in Denmark.

In the Netherlands you can buy a windshield for 195,50 ex VAT that is about 233 euro incl.

That's it - the same number, the "same" price. Why 700,-Eur in Denmark???

I phoned to my friend and he promised to ask the manager in Denmark, we will see...
