Okay, and now we have some problems....



The downmost butterfly is not possible to turn enough around to get the plate out, but taking it out the other way is also not possible because of the narrowing of the barrel...




Does anybody know how to remove them, or if there is a way of removing the narrowing in the barrel...?

Does anybody know how to remove them, or if there is a way of removing the narrowing in the barrel...?

Why do you want to remove it? Unless there's any play in the spindle bearings, there should'nt be any reason to take the spindle or butterflies out. I think the venturi ("narrowing") is fixed in this carburettor and a machined part of the carb body, so it can't be removed.

Because of the butterflies. one needs some more attention, really stuck... There has to be a way to remove them, because putting them together as is, is not possible since the are mounted of centre


These are from another Solex carb, but are clearly to remove, and I can not see any way of mounting the butterfly without removing these....
