What was special on this day:

Most Online Ever: 85 (August 08, 2008, 04:59:29 pm)

I have wondered each time i've seen it on the bottom of this page. Huh

Does anybody knows? Or is it just a coincident?

Depending on how the statistics is generated - it could be as boring as one or several search engines indexing the site at the same time, they often run so that they are identified as different users - i've seen between 100-200 "users" at the same time from a single search engine. I see this on my web site statistics.

Another interesting thing, if you as an example visit the wayback machine ( http://www.archive.org/web/web.php ) and enter matrasport.dk i'm sure the administrators will find many visits from the wayback machine within the next few days Grin

indeed.

However  I think many users use the "always stay logged in" feature, which probably accounts for the high number.

I keep wanting to do some proper statistics, - but the current way I have placed a reverse proxy in front of the site means I have to do some semi-clever scripting to dig out the matrasport logs, before sending them to the statistics program. (I think it will be awstats)

some day when I have better time ... :-)

I don't think so, since looking at the "number of online" counter in the forum, it seems to react to any users' actual access of the site within the last 15 minutes, logged in or not.

Don't worry Lennart, I'm sure there are many other fun things out there for you to do! Smiley
The forum is here, free from advertisements, and we can stay in touch and help each other with our cars. That's plenty enough, especially considering you are not getting a penny out of it! Pad yourself on the back from me! Wink

Thanks Anders, - and could I add that if it wasn't for active forum admins like yourself, this place wouldn't be as tidy.

Now I only wish that all the other things that have occupied me so much lately were =as "fun" as you would think/hope :-)
