Hello Members. Thanks to all those who replied to my under windscreen panel. The car I purchased is a Gordon Russell special i.e. uprated to S spec.Twin dellortos, ast road cam. four branch and 4 outlet exhaust. Can this conversion be reversed or tamed down  to make car more civalised.regardsTOG

Sounds like the exhaust might be the cause of your problem.

I would be interested in swapping my single output stainless steel exhaust for your four output version.  I do not intend to do much cruising on dual carriageways or motorways in the Western Isles so a bit of extra noise would not be a problem  Grin

Believe me, this noise wil make you go nuts on a long run.
The Devil pipes are very usable for the end tips.
They look smooth an easy to weld on like I did.
They give a little  bit extra sound.
Just what I wanted.

Hi Tog, no they can always be rejetted. All jets are available for the Webers, as well as for your Dellorto's. For example from Eurocarb: http://www.dellorto.co.uk/

You will however need to have them setup either on the road with a wide band lambda, or professionally on a rolling road.

Pipercross has some nice airboxes, but I found them too expensive, plus they have built in filter and I wanted to preserve the original filter setup.

Oh man... Haven't you learned... You NEVER throw parts out.

You never know when they come in handy.

You just have to move to a larger house from time to time. Grin

It's a sin.
Shame on you.
However if there is no space to hold the parts I can understand.
