for some time now I have been getting water into the storage bin that is under the drivers seat, that's the passenger seat for those of you who sit on the wrong side of the car. I have removed the front carpet and there is no sign of wet on it, or as far as I can tell in the floor cavity. The wet seems to be confined to the storage bin under the seat. I haven't had the rear carpet up, as it is more of a job to remove all the seats and a load of plastic trim, but does anyone know if this floor is double skinned the same as the front floor. Any suggestions gratefully received.

I can only imagine it is leaking past the door seal. Normally the footwell fills up, this is double skinned so there could be water under the carpet in the footwell & you wouldn't know. It could also be a leaking matrix, have you checked your coolant recently?
