Murena and Multipla - I like it 3 abreast!

« on: December 18, 2010, 09:04:05 pm »

Well, the Murena has finally been sold. It was going better than it ever had and the guy who bought it was very pleased. He flew from Sweden today to collect it!

Great car when it worked, was just let down by idiot mechanics.

Thanks for all the help, support and friendship over the years.
I'll stay in touch with the friends I've made on here, just don't show me your Matras!!

It is in good hands, a Swedish guy who is very enthusiastic. Apparently it will be only the 4th Murena in Sweden.

Next car will definitely have some Italian in it; current shortlist is a Lancia Beta Spyder, or Peugeot 306 Cabriolet.

Yes, Peugeot 306 Cabriolet is a very nice car Wink I also wanted one, but at least I chose Mercedes-Benz 500 SL R129. A bit more expensive but with 326 HP it brings a lot of fun Cool

Yes all very nice cars indeed. I didn't want one but ended up with a Porsche MK 1 GT3 996 Clubsport and with 360  + HP what could possibly go wrong!!!  Grin

On a more serious note my 2.2 Murena developed serious engine knocking noises and had the ignominity of being recovered on a flat bed recovery truck just south of Birmingham after the recent Classic Car Show at the N.E.C.  Surgery begins shortly.  Cry

No track day, just a generic picture of the same car. I bet the poor new Matra owner was upset, do you know what broke?

He reckons starter motor, but won't know for sure till he goes back to Denmark and picks it up.
I feel pretty bad, but he did get quite far in it!
