I need an new canshaft- does anyone know a god place to get one?

And does anybody change it, and are you smiling Huh?

Iīm using the flyweel from the CX- itīs leighter then the types Renault use(8kg vs 12kg)

I only need 160 DIN+, is it possible with 2* weber, a new camshaft, and thake 0,7-,08mm of the top.

Hey Erik

You are the wrong place, the 2.2 engine from Citroen is NOT the same as Murena - you should go to the Espace forum instead - but they will not know the answers to your questions. Best buy is probably to find some Renault Fuego enthusiasts. Sorry mate, we can't help Wink

Bernhard here has some knowledge about the engine (in Murena):

Good luck with your project!

thanks Anders, mybe you are rigth-  but just for fun- Berhard said:
Ich habe auf einem Gebiet recherchiert, das schon von Matra angedacht wurde: der 2 l P.S.A. "Euro" Motor (siehe Bild oben). Dies war eine gemeinsame Entwicklung von Citroën, Peugeot und Renault.

the 2 liter use the same pistons, and syllinder top as 2,2- the engine i got are from a CX 22RS 1988, and thats the OHC, not the old type(OHV)

so they got diffrens camshaft, ingnition and so one- but in basic they are similar Grin

So a litle serios: thanks for the link, itīs somebody answer, not only reading!

Good luck with you car- we ar on the same team( France vs. the rest :-)

It is a completely different engine to the Chrysler /Talbot  sourced  N9 used in the Matra. Some people get confused because the Peugeot 505 used the PRV engine, but the 505 GTi Turbo used the N9T.

Matra designed the Murena with the intention of using the PRV 2.0 litre but Renault objected to its use as they felt it would compete against the Fuego.
