Does anyone know what the round din type connectors are for(one input and one output i think) on the Philips Hi-Fi Stereo as some idiot has cut the originals off the loom.  As this is my first post i would greatly appreciate any advice, many thanks.

This is for the remote control unit fitted between the instrument panel and steering column. I presume your radio is a big 2U box. Is there a remote control?

I'm not sure about the door connector - do you have power windows? It could be wiring for that.

Hi, there is no remote or steering controls, the stereo is double din size and dates from 85. it was not fitted to the vehicle as i aquired it in new condition off ebay as i believed it to be correct for the model year, the power windows are in perfect working order and there does not appear to be any use for this connector unless there is another switch in the arm for another purpose as there is a hole next to the window switch, ideas welcome please.

I think it is the control for the electric side mirrors then.

I'm afraid not, that is a separate entity altogether, but it is definitely original wiring.
