hi  my name is jim      i have espace the race 2.2dci  2oo2  had it for 3 years great car but spent a lot off mony on it . now iam getting deisel in the sump it has been to local garage they sent it to deisel specialist  he stiripped fuel pump  rebuilt wiyh new parts did pressure test on pump and injectors said ok .still got problem he has given up looking to see if anyone has had the same. i change oil every 400 miles i put 7litres in and take 10liters out other wise it runs perfect.i  hope someone out there has the answer.      thank you jim

Hi Jim, any symptoms, like smoke and does it run/start OK ?   Smiley

          thank you for getting back to me as for car running it  runs perfect starts first time as
         
          for the smoke just when you go up the gears. just had egr cleaned masmetre changed

          its just the oil getting into the sump.

There is quite a lot of pressure in the rail, if one of the injectors leak all the fuel in the line will leak past the nozzle & into the engine when the engine has stopped, say overnight. It could be a tempramental injector that did not show on a short test period.  It is the only thing I can think of at the mo. Consider buying a couple of second hand injectors to try, process of elimination!

    thanks forgetting in touch,car is going in to local garage for exhaust what you have suggested, and se if they will give it a try .   i will let you know how they get on.
