Fluctuating oil pressure
«

I just came home from the Danish Matra summer meet. During the drive I noticed that the oil pressure fluctuated between 2 to 5, even with constant 2000 RPMs.
Any ideas what could cause that? I have a new oil filter and oil. The oil is still clear.

I had the same problem at the Djet. The oilpressure switch at the engine was the problem.

Yes, oil pressure switch is in most cases the problem.
I never saw one that displays the same pressure.
According to my information this one should fit.

I have tested some VDO units that are cheaper but they work different.
VDO sensor needs several modifications to work with the original meter.

Thanks.
I looked for one like it in all the Danish parts stores. Only one showed it and they did not have it in stock, so I have ordered the one on eBay.
