Fuel Tank Sender Unit
June 22, 2016, 12:41:30 PM
My fuel tank sender unit and associated fuel pipes is so rusted that it is totally unusable.  Simon says that there is no chance of finding even a secondhand one.  Does anyone have a serviceable one that they would be prepared to part with and send to Australia?

Another thought.  Is the part in any way interchangeable with a Bagheera one?

Holy s...  :o

What on earth do you put in your petrol tanks in Australia ? That's just crazy..

My first thought was it might could be repaired, and then I saw the photo..  I hope you find a good replacement!

Best regrads Frederik

Yes thanks, I have found a second-hand one.  I too was shocked when I removed it.  The car itself was very rusty in the chassis as it had obviously had a hard time in England.  It would almost certainly be a write-off in Europe but I have almost finished all the rust repairs.

I don't know whether the rusted sender started in England or here in Australia where the car has been unused for 15 years.  The petrol in the tank had turned into a thick black goo over the years.
