Well at last we moved the Espace to the new workshop to start a full restoration following the flood in August 2016. We had previously drained allthe water from the engine and auto box and filled the engine with new oil and filter. The MJ 3 auto box we know will need further looking at and may need several flushings to get it all working properly again, but as it had only covered 3oo miles since we completely reconditioned it with new parts, the worst case would be removing and dismantling the box again, cleaning everything and putting it back in the car, it should then work fine. The fuel pump will need testing or replacing and the tank will have to be removed, drained and flushed. We still have to test the engine computer and that for the gearbox and if necessary, send both to Autotek for overhaul. All remaing electrics will have to be removed, cleaned and tested as the water level during the flood came qithin 150 mm of the top of the windscreen. The interior has dried out nicely and we have sourced a new set of door cards, driver's side was already in poor condition but a complelet set solves the problem. Once we have it running again, we will respray the whole car in its original colours. Oh, the brakes will need a look over and we already have a brand new master cylinder so we do not see any furherr problems on that front. More later as work progresses.
