It will soon be time for me to mount the front wing panels.  Because the original pop rivet holes were glassed over when repairing the front wings, I can adjust the panel gap between the front of the door and the wing by moving the wing a few mm in either direction.  If I move the wing backwards to minimize the gap between it and the door, the gap between it and the front bumper section does not grow too noticeably.  However, rather than having a minimum gap, I would like it to be as correct as possible.

Here is my question.  Could someone with an original car, please measure their panel gap between the wing and the door?

regards
Ron

Thanks Finn. I think 4mm is a nice number to try for. Happy New Year to you also and try to watch our Sydney fireworks.  They promise to be good this year!
